Francesco Di Nardo, M. Eng, Ph.D.
Francesco Di Nardo is senior Staff Scientist at the Department of Information Engineering (DII), Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy. He achieved his National Scientific Qualification (ASN) for the Academic Position of Associate Professor in the domain of Bioengineering in 2018 and Physical Activity and Sport Science in 2017. His main research activity included the areas of biomedical signal processing (filtering, feature extraction, pattern recognition, time-frequency analysis) and interpretation (physiology, clinics, rehabilitation). Recently, he has focused his attention on the processing, classification, and interpretation of underwater cetacean vocalization signals. He is author and co-author of more than 150 publications, including full papers in referred international journals, chapters in international books, and conference paper.
